Light Volumes, Dark Matters

(UK) - The Royal College of Art in London, hosts the book launch for Light Volumes, Dark Matters by Claudia Dutson, Megaman Research Associate, RCA. Alongside a seminar chaired by Jeremy Myerson, Helen Hamlyn Professor of Design, RCA.

Taking place on Wednesday 29 September at 6pm, the seminar will tackle questions such as: How can architects and designers rethink artificial light in buildings? How are existing codes and standards for lighting being challenged? How do we place the user's experience at the centre of lighting?

This seminar will debate the issues raised by Dutson's research and detailed in her book which will be launched on the night. Confirmed speakers include Jonathan Speirs of Speirs and Major Associates. There will also be an opportunity to meet the author and obtain a signed copy of her book. After the seminar guests are invited to the private viewing of the RCA exhibition 'the lives of others'.

The evening is hosted by Megaman Charity Trust Fund in association with the Helen Hamlyn Centre at the Royal College of Art.
