Lighting Designer

September 2015 - OVI

Driven by design excellence, OVI is expanding our team and now offering extraordinary opportunities to candidates who are eager to contribute to the creation of lighting for world-class, international projects.

Ideal candidates have 1 to 5+ years of experience and a degree in the architecture, interior design or lighting design. Should be organized, detail oriented and have a strong visual ability to communicate their ideas through drawings, sketches and/or 3D visualization software. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Photoshop, AGI and InDesign. Experience with Revit a plus, but not required. Strong oral and written communication skills are required for internal and external communication.  Responsibilities include concept design thru realization of finished projects including drawings, renderings, lighting calculations, mockups, specifications and presentations. Our ideal candidate is creative, self-motivated, possesses exceptional task management skills and enjoys working as part of our talented team.


Office for Visual Interaction (OVI) is an award-winning, international, architectural lighting design studio, based in NYC with an established record for design excellence and the illumination of award-winning projects around the world including: The New York Times Building in Manhattan, cultural buildings and concert halls, the historic Rookery Building in Chicago, the United States Air Force Memorial, LED streetlights for the City of New York, the lighting design for two parliament buildings, and supertall hi-rise buildings in the Middle East and China.
