Harvard expands Custom LED Design and Placement service

12 January 2012 11.30 GMT

(UK) - Harvard Engineering has expanded its Custom LED Design and Placement service to meet growing demand, the company has revealed.

Launched in 2010, the popularity of the service has seen Harvard invest in new technology and equipment.

Recent expansion to a purpose built advanced manufacturing facility in the UK has ensured Harvard's ability to provide reliable, high volume LED placement by combining the most advanced automated manufacturing processes, which also include fully automated surface mount machinery and thermal testing equipment.

As part of service, the company's engineering team of LED specialists works closely with customers to deliver a bespoke PCB layout and design service. Every project has a dedicated engineering development manager, who is involved from the start of each project through its completion.

Michael McDonnell, sales and marketing director at Harvard Engineering, commented, "It is an exciting time for the company. We have always had the in-house capabilities to provide this customised service, but we have never really actively marketed it. We have now put together an experienced team specifically focused on identifying opportunities, delivering solutions and meeting customer requirements. And with over 18 years electronics manufacturing and lighting experience, we are well placed to deliver cost efficient innovative tailored solutions."
