acdc opens London studio

4 July 2012 12.00 BST

(UK) - North England LED and cold cathode manufacturer opens showroom in heart of capital's design district to serve specification market.

Located within walking distance from Old Street roundabout in Hoxton, the 2000sqft studio, with its high ceilings and ‘loft' style, open plan space, is a stylish, eco-development designed by renowned architects Fielden Clegg Bradley Studios.

Offering a modern, comfortable working environment, the studio will take customers on a journey through acdc's fifteen product ranges with 300 products on display in a controlled lit environment, including their latest product releases Azeta, Frame, Plaza, Vista II and Micro.

Sales Director Louise Frankland commented: "The acdc London studio provides us with the perfect setting to demonstrate our luminaires in their true environment. Whilst it is hugely beneficial to take samples to clients, being able to actually see the products lit effect in a realistic setting is invaluable. We hope the studio will become an interactive base for our customers to ustilise."

acdc is also showcasing the very latest in LED light engine technology with ChromaWhite, Xicato and their own acdc light engine range on demonstration, washing the 8m high studio walls with incredible consistency, all controlled wirelessly.

Louise continues: "We are very excited to now have a London base. Not only will it benefit our South of England clients in terms of providing them with the perfect location to demonstrate our products and host important project meetings, it will also benefit our international distribution partners by offering them a UK base to meet with their clients. acdc is growing exponentially and we are certain that our official arrival in London will aid this growth and enable us to provide an even higher level of service to our existing clients."

acdc CEO, Gareth Frankland added: "We are over the moon with the design and demonstration opportunities our studio provides. This flexible space is creatively inspiring, plus we felt the buildings' BREEAM ‘Excellent' rating was fitting for acdc as it mirrors our commitment to future thinking technologies, focused on reducing environmental impacts whilst considering all areas of sustainability."

A bespoke 7.5m long x 1.2m wide conference bench and 80" LED TV has been installed and will be central to future events. Gareth concludes: "We wanted an innovative presentation solution for project meetings and training seminars and we have certainly created that. Having an 80" LED TV is just the cherry on the top! It is also ideal for watching key sporting events at the many acdc parties we'll be throwing in the coming months - invites will follow shortly!!"
